One of the primary and important mandates of DICRC is to collaborate with various organisations in initiatives that showcase, promote and celebrate the rich craft traditions of India and the impeccable skillfulness of the Indian craftspeople who give shape to the numerous celebrated craft forms of our nation. The initiatives undertaken by the centre is collaborative with different university or professional or organisation, and may vary in the activities conducted and outcomes achieved. 

The initiatives have led to a number of seminars, presentations and talks, exhibitions and live craft demonstration within national craft fairs and summits.
The workshop was one of the  series of Network Expansion workshops launched by CIIE in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in collaboration with reputed Social Support Organisations (SOs), for innovative Social Enterprises (SEs) The aim was to bring together support organisations and social enterprises in order to create a network that would help social enterprises to expand and grow, thereby multiplying their social impact. The expected outcome of these workshops was to create a vibrant and active social entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region. 

The workshop was held at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur on the 16th and 17th October, 2014.
